Private Coaching

Skaters may hire a private coach (Professional Coach or Junior Coach) who is approved by the Board for generally 15 or 30 minutes per week. Skaters will pay their coach separately from the club. Please keep in mind, rates may vary from $20-$30 per hour for private lessons, based on the professional coaches credentials. See your coach for their fees. If you are not an Advanced Ice Skater (in Basic Skills) you will need to still pay for your ice time which is $12 per hour. Punch Cards are available 10 hours for $120.

Professional Coaches from outside of MIRFSC may coach, but need to be pre-approved by the Board.

Montana Grabowsky

Montana has passed Senior Moves In the Field, Juvenile Free Skate, Gold Dance, Canadian Gold Dance, Juvenile Pairs, and has 2 years of synchronized skating experience.  She has 8 years teaching basic skills/Learn to Skate and 3 years of coaching experience. She is a professional coach/choreographer and is CER program certified.

Lea Beckman

Lea has been teaching basic skills for the last 9 years. Her credentials include Novice Moves in the Field, Pre-Juvenile Free Skate, and Silver Dance. She is a professional coach/choreographer and is CER program certified. Lea also has her Learn to Skate Instructor Card.

Kayleigh Oestreicher

Kayleigh has passed Intermediate MIF, Preliminary Free Skate and Silver Dance. She has 3 years teaching basic skills/Learn to Skate and 5 years experience competing, including 2 times at Upper Great Lakes Regionals. She is is a professional coach/choreographer and is CER program certified.
